At least 2 dead in horror stabbing as police fire shots and cops injured

Two people have been killed and two police officers injured following a stabbing at a house in the Netherlands. Emergency services were called to Fanny Blankers Koenlaan in Hoofddorp this

morning at around 6am following reports of an attack. Police cars and ambulances could be seen outside the property and large amounts of blood could be seen in the street. Police said they

found two people "who were involved in a violent incident" with both of them having died. A statement from the police also said officers "fired shots" and that two

ARGUMENT LEADING TO THE STABBING IS UNCLEAR Police have not given any information about what was the cause of an alleged argument that led to the stabbing. It is now known that two people,

whose identities have not been revealed, were involved in a fight at a house and both of them have died. Two officers were also injured after attending the scene and were taken to hospital

for treatment. But the cause of the fight is unclear. A police spokesperson said: "After the call, we found ourselves in a situation where we had to take action." No information

STABBING One person died from stab wounds in an alleged fight that police where called to, but it is unclear how the second was killed. A spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service (OM)

in the Netherlands confirmed only one of the deaths was due to a stabbing. And the death of the second person is part of the investigation by the National Criminal Investigation Department.

This means that the police's efforts may have played a role, but the Public Prosecution Service could not confirm this. If the police have used force and people are seriously injured

or die, it is standard procedure to involve the National Criminal Investigation Department. A police spokesperson also said that "our deployment played a role" in one of the deaths

OFFICER At least two people have been stabbed to death at a house in the Netherlands, according to local reports and it is still unclear how serious are the injuries to a police officer.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after the stabbings which are understood to have taken place in the early hours of this morning. The only message so far from police stated:

Blankers Koenlaan in Hoofddorp where the stabbings are thought to have taken place. A large area around the house has been cordoned off by the police who are yet to give an update on what

has happened. About five ambulances were outside the property while paramedics also arrived in a helicopter. The seriousness of the victims' injuries has not yet been confirmed.
