Emmerdale fans 'only just realising' john sugden actor appeared in corrie

Emmerdale viewers have been left shocked after realising John Sugden actor Oliver Farnworth was once caught up in a thrilling Coronation Street storyline. As fans of the ITV soap will know,

John arrived in the Dales last year as the estranged brother of Victoria (Isabel Hodgins), Robert (Ryan Hawley), and Andy (Kelvin Fletcher). The former soldier and paramedic quickly formed a

relationship with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) without him knowing that his former boyfriend, Aidan Moore, was still in a coma in the hospital, despite John previously confirming he was

dead. John also possesses a dangerous hero complex that has claimed the life of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) and has brought many others to harm. He is also responsible for concealing the

murder of Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) earlier this year, but John's crimes are yet to be exposed. Away from Emmerdale, Oliver Farnworth once appeared in Coronation Street as Andy Carver,

and the soap character met a very tragic end. Andy arrived on the Cobbles as a friend of Michael Rodwell’s (Les Dennis) estranged son Gavin. When the two had a falling out, Andy decided to

pose as his friend in a bid to fool Michael - and it worked. But when Andy found out Michael was suffering a heart condition which was hereditary and attempted to reach out to the real Gavin

to inform him, but he couldn't track down his former pal. After realising that the victim of his cruel prank was actually a good man, hopeful of a reconciliation with his son, Andy was

riddled with guilt and confessed to his Bistro colleague Steph Britton (Tisha Merry) about his deceit. The real Gavin then began to blackmail him, but just days later he died in a car

accident. When his mum Susan sent a photo album of pictures through to Michael, Andy awkwardly sat beside him as it became clear he wasn’t the same person. Despite the revelation, nobody

ever reported him for identity theft and he continued to work at the restaurant and moved into the builder’s yard flat with Steph. WHAT HAPPENED TO ANDY CARVER IN CORRIE? When murderous Pat

Phelan (Connor McIntyre) left Michael to die after he suffered a heart attack, Andy attacked him with a brick, and a huge war erupted between the pair. On the day of Pat’s wedding to Eileen

Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), Andy threatened to expose him – including his flat development scam. A huge row broke out in the flat, and Andy was bludgeoned over the head with a laptop. Corrie

viewers presumed Andy was dead, and Steph left for Portugal under the assumption he’d separated from her, though the text was actually sent by evil Pat. In October 2017, seven months later,

it was revealed that Andy had actually been held hostage in a derelict house as Pat had hidden him out of sight. In a harrowing soap twist, Pat led Andy and fellow hostage Vinny Ashford (Ian

Kelsey) to an abandoned warehouse. There, he forced Andy to shoot Vinny, telling him that he was responsible for leaving Michael to die of a heart attack. Andy was full of emotion as he

broke down and turned the gun on Pat. As he complied with his request to put down the gun, Pat quickly grabbed it and pulled the trigger and killed Andy with a single bullet. The two men’s

bodies were then thrown into a pond on the site, though when it was dredged, they were dragged out and encased in cement, used as pillars to support a new building. It wasn’t until March

2018 that they were both found by Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni), who were looking to bring Pat down. Taking to Facebook, Emmerdale fans have expressed their

shock at seeing Oliver Farnworth as Corrie's Andy, with one person writing: "Watching classic Coronation Street. Look who’s on it!!", along with a photo of the character. A

second replied: "I forgot he was him in Corrie haha", while a third asked: "What year is this on classic Corrie?". "Wear his sleeves up in Corrie too", joked
