Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Tuesday took stock of security situation in south Kashmir districts. Singh visited Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag districts to take stock of
security scenario following the recent abduction and killing of three special police officers (SPOs). “The DGP chaired meetings with officers at all district headquarters. DGP stressed on
the security of all those involved in the upcoming civic body polls. He directed his officers to formulate deployment plans keeping in view the sensitivity of south Kashmir,” said a police
officer who was part of the meeting. He added that DGP was also briefed about ground situation in south Kashmir in the meetings. The DGP was also accompanied by inspector general of police
(IGP) Kashmir SP Pani and IGP CRPF Ravideep Sahi.
