A online poll which ran on February 26 between 3.30pm and 10pm indicated 52 percent of Express.co.uk reader were willing to call the Duke by his preferred new title. However, 40 percent of
voters said they would refuse to call Prince Harry his new requested title. Just eight percent of voters were still in doubt and said that they didn’t know either way. A total of 3,828
people voted in the poll. The Duke of Sussex recently spoke of his desire to adopt a more informal moniker as he kicked off the final countdown to his and Meghan’s break for freedom at an
event in Scotland on Tuesday. The 35-year-old royal, who is known as the Earl of Dumbarton while in Scotland, met with 100 representatives of the tourism and travel sectors north of the
border at a Travalyst conference. He hosted the summit at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) for his new travel partnership just five weeks before he and the Duchess of
Sussex officially step down as senior royals on March 31. And he made it clear he no longer wants to be known as Prince Harry as he embarks on his new life away from the institution headed
by his 93-year-old grandmother. He told host Ayesha Hazarika to call him by his first name and she was also instructed to tell guests of his latest request. She said: “When I was
introduced to him I was a bit worried about what I should say, what were the right things, and he was no, very relaxed, and just [said] ‘Harry, just call me Harry’.” Ms Hazarika also said
she was told to tell the audience: “Yes, I did say His Royal Highness Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, but he would like you to call him Harry.” READ MORE: KATE MADE TOUCHING TRIBUTE TO THE
QUEEN DURING NIGHT OUT WITH WILLIAM After taking a commercial flight from Canada to London on Monday evening, the duke travelled to the Scottish capital by train. The father-of-one was
pictured arriving at Edinburgh station last night looking rather glum. He opted for the eco-friendly LNER from London’s Kings Cross for the journey. The summit is the first event for Harry
to attend since he left the UK at the end of January to be reunited with Meghan, 38, and Archie following Megzit. Harry told guests at the Edinburgh event: “I want to help create a
platform where all of us concerned about these issues can work together, where competitors can unite and incentivise a positive systemic change. “There’s a reason why this hasn’t been tried
before, but with our partners we have the best shot.”
