Kate Middleton, 38, joined the Royal Family in 2011 and throughout the past nine years in the family, Kate has perfected her speeches and built her confidence at different events. One body

language expert suggests that her body language signals that she has had training. The Duchess now works alongside different charities and now has 19 patronages in total, meaning she will

often speak at events on her own. Her patronages include hospitals, galleries and museums. Throughout the ongoing pandemic, Kate has had to turn to virtual events and has posted videos on

the families Instagram account on many occasions.  Her most recent appearance on their social media page featured Kate speaking about her five Big Questions survey which is her early years

learning campaign, conducting a nationwide survey into peoples views on the topic of early years learning. READ MORE: KATE MIDDLETON’S RELATIONSHIP WITH WILLIAM IS ‘BLAND’ AND ‘INTENSE'

Another video featured the Duchess thanking the people who took part in her recent Hold Still photography campaign, which saw people from all across the country submit a photographic

portrait that they had taken in lockdown. Analysing her body language in her recent videos, body language expert Judi James explained that there are signals that she has had training. Judi

said: “I would hazard a very strong guess that Kate has had some training, especially for recent appearances in delivery and body language when she has been presenting straight to camera in

the style of a professional TV presenter for things like her photographic competition. “The advice to ‘just be yourself’ is less than useless for appearances like this as the pose itself

isn’t one in a normal repertoire.  DON'T MISS: WHY KATE MIDDLETON MATCHES OUTFITS WITH PRINCESS CHARLOTTE [INSIGHT] KATE MIDDLETON: HOW THE DUCHESS TAKES INSPIRATION FROM PRINCES DIANA

[PICTURES] KATE MIDDLETON’S BODY LANGUAGE HINTS ‘SHE IS GETTING TRAINING’ [EXPERT] “The trick is to learn how to look as though you are being your natural, authentic self but under the

pressure of the camera. The word ‘just’ doesn’t apply as it takes a lot of hard work to achieve. “Kate’s first speech as a royal showed signs of coaching but the techniques, like doing long

pauses at regular intervals, suppressed her authentic personality and made her delivery look forced.” The Duchess’ first speech as a royal was in 2012 after she opened the Treehouse hospice

in Ipswich. However, having now spent several years speaking and building her confidence, Judi added that she now appears to act herself on camera.  The expert said: “Any training she has

had now appears to have allowed her to adopt a good pose but still use all the positive traits and qualities of being ‘Kate’.” In Kate’s delivery Hold Still campaign video, the Duchess can

be seen using a lot of hand gestures, emphasising what she is saying. Judi added: ”Kate stands with an upturned V-shaped gap under her armpits and, like the shoulder technique, this gapping

technique helps prevent any self-diminishing or self-hugging rituals (which Kate will often be seen using) and create a look of assertive confidence. “It also means Kate can use hand

gestures easily and naturally to add emphasis to her words. She also uses rounded cheeks to an authentic-looking half-smile and her eye-engage with the camera is excellent, giving the

impression she is talking to her audience face-to-face.” Using hand gestures can help Kate’s speech flow more naturally and make her look more natural.  The body language expert said that

the Duchess’ body language seems to change when she is around different people. Judi said: “Kate’s body language signals do change when she is with other people and she will often show signs

of self-lowering, self-effacing rituals.  “Unlike her more formal and professional poses, Kate is likely to use barrier gestures, like crossed legs and her arms crossed on her lap, and we

can often see some self-hugging, where the arms are pulled into the ribs, rather than slightly splayed.” This suggests that Kate is most confident when she is on her own as she has full

control of what she is saying as well as her actions.
