Love island bosses opens up on 'biggest challenges' days before 2025 series

Island's Maya Jama will be back to our television screens on Monday (June 9) to front the twelfth series of the ITV2 dating show. Over the course of the past 10 years, the ITV2 dating

show has become the biggest series on television for 16-34 year olds on with over 24 different versions across the globe. Last year, the first-ever All Stars edition aired in the UK with

familar faces returning to the villa for another shot of love. Speaking at the recent Royal Television Society event, Anatomy Of A Hit: Love Island, executive producer Lewis Evans, who has

worked on the show since series one, revealed the challenges he and his team face behind the scenes. He explained: "It's really fun doing All Stars because going into a new series

of Love Island obviously the cast are fish out of water in terms of they've never been on a TV show before and it takes a bit of time but with All Stars they've done it before so

they know how it goes. Article continues below "You're not sat there waiting for conversations to happen because they happen from the minute they walk in. For example when Kaz

(Crossley) went for Casey (O'Gorman) as soon as he entered the villa. "Because people are more knowing of All Stars and how things work the challenge there is throwing in

curveballs and tests that still make them expect the unexpected which is the mantra of Love Island and I think we do it well." Senior casting producer and Gallery SP Coco Jackson added:

"I think for me in the gallery the biggest challenge is keeping up with the stories because you want to be sure you've got everything you need. "We are running the day in

that villa and making sure that day goes to plan in regards to our timing. Also, getting the Islanders ready, they do take a long time." Casting producer Sam Carr said: "The

biggest challenge is you want your cast to be as goos as your last cast. You always want to better what you've done before. "It's all about getting the best people onto the

show and I think the biggest challenge is upping the game every year." To mark its tenth anniversary a one-off show titled Love Island: A Decade of Love will bring back some of the most

beloved and memorable Islanders to reflect on the show that changed their lives. Article continues below Series two winners Cara De La Hoyde-Massey and Nathan Massey, series seven champs

Millie Court and Liam Reardon, series nine winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan and series eight finalists Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope will all appear in the special instalment. LOVE
