AIRLINE WAS A HIT ITV FLY-ON-THE-WALL DOCUMENTARY SERIES THAT FOLLOWED EASYJET STAFF AT MULTIPLE UK AIRPORTS - HERE'S WHAT THE STARS ARE UP TO NOW. 15:06, 05 May 2025Updated 15:50, 05
May 2025 Before the reality TV boom, Airline was a trailblazer with its engaging documentary series that followed the crew of budget airline easyJet across the UK. Broadcast on ITV from 1998
to 2006, this candid documentary offered viewers an insider's view of life at some of the country's busiest airports, including Luton and Liverpool John Lennon. Over 10 seasons
and more than 200 episodes, it documented missed flights, airport pandemonium, emotional farewells, unexpected proposals, and heated passenger confrontations. The 22-minute episodes were
filled with drama, humour, and a host of memorable characters in their distinctive orange uniforms. Let's catch up with what the stars of Airline are up to now. LEO JONES Leo Jones was
the ever-steady supervisor who navigated numerous crises at the airport and won over fans with his cool professionalism, reports the Mirror. He remained with EasyJet long after the cameras
stopped rolling, eventually rising to the position of regional manager before parting ways with the airline in 2018. However, Leo's life took a distressing turn in recent years. In
2022, he was handed a five-year restraining order and a suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of stalking GB News presenter Ellie Costello. Their interaction began during a live
interview in 2021 but escalated into a worrying harassment campaign. Now, in a starkly different phase of his life, Leo has reinvented himself yet again - this time as a fitness instructor.
JANE BOULTON Jane Boulton, renowned for her firm approach with disgruntled passengers, brought a mix of empathy and toughness to the check-in desk. She served at various airports, including
Luton and Gatwick, before exiting the travel sector in 2014. Now aged 54, Jane resides in South London where she operates her own business, Party Paradise UK, offering children's party
entertainment and bespoke cakes. She is married with three kids and goes by the name Mrs Lee. Despite the popularity Airline brought her, Jane recently disclosed that she didn't make
any money from the show. Speaking on a podcast in late 2024, she revealed: "Before the series happened, we all signed disclaimers... Very bitter - if it happened now, we'd all be
bloody millionaires." Jane maintains contact with fellow stars Leo and Katrina, and shares that she's frequently recognised by fans due to TikTok resurfacing the show's most
iconic moments. In an interview with the Mirror, she confessed: "When the show first came out, I thought: 'They've made me look really awful and I'm not like that'
but people were loving it. When you're working in customer service, you cannot be sympathetic. "As far as I was concerned, my staff were more than capable of doing a brilliant job
and they didn't need someone to come in and take over. When I was an agent I used to find that quite demeaning so I used to try and hold back as much as possible. "By the time I
was called in they'd been told the same thing a few times and it did bug me and that's probably why I walked down like a stroppy old mare." KATRINA LEEDER Ever the
approachable host, Katrina Leeder became a beloved figure, welcoming countless travellers each week with her hands-on approach and amiable character, which saw her rise to become one of the
favourites on the show. JOIN THE DAILY RECORD WHATSAPP COMMUNITY! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily

has taken to the airwaves as a presenter on Travel Radio, where she dispenses valuable tips and knowledge to travel enthusiasts. However, life behind the scenes has presented its own set of
struggles – Katrina has recently disclosed she is being treated for thyroid cancer, marking her eighth battle with the disease so far. In a twist filled with both joy and sorrow, she and her
long-standing partner Simon Drew tied the knot in January 2024, shortly after he endured a round of chemotherapy treatments. Simon is also battling cancer, and his condition cannot be
cured. Article continues below Yet, sustaining a spirit of resilience and hopefulness, Katrina expressed on Instagram following their nuptials: "We will keep each other strong
forever." It may have been nearly two decades since the last episode of Airline was broadcast, but the show's cast members are finding renewed fame online, leading to impassioned
calls from devotees for a series revival.
