Strictly's giovanni pernice to host 'evening with' night at newcastle bar

FORMER STRICTLY COME DANCING WINNER GIOVANNI PERNICE IS COMING TO NEWCASTLE FOR A SPECIAL 'EVENING WITH' SHOW 14:07, 21 May 2025Updated 17:12, 21 May 2025 Much loved star of

Strictly Come Dancing, Giovanni Pernice is coming to Newcastle this summer, with the Italian pro bound for the Purple Peacock, to host a intimate, one nightly only 'Evening with'

show and ballroom masterclass. It was back in 2015 that world renowned dancer Giovanni made his debut on Strictly, with him having a very impressive first series on the BBC programme, as he

reached the final with soap actress Georgia-May Foote. From there, Giovanni went onto make the final twice more, with Debbie McGee in 2017 and Faye Tozer a year later, before he finally

lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy alongside then EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis at the end of 2021. Much to the disappointment of fans, he played no part in Strictly last year and is

also missing from the confirmed list of Strictly pros for 2025. However, while he wasn't in the Strictly ballroom last year, he did get his hands on another Glitterball trophy, by

winning the Italian version of the show - Ballando Con Le Stelle - with his partner Bianca Guaccero. And, after embarking on another sell out UK tour, which brought him to the North East

earlier in the year, Giovanni will be back in the region on July 16, when he takes to the stage at Newcastle city centre party haunt Purple Peacock, whose cast are currently wowing audiences

every weekend with their ABBA themed nights and Carnival shows. The 55 Degrees North based bar announced the special 'one night only' appearance from Giovanni on social media, on

Tuesday evening, with tickets available to book via its website. The post read: 'You’ll get a front row seat to an intimate evening with the Strictly Come Dancing champion, BAFTA

winner, Dancing with the Stars Italy winner and double Guinness World Record holder — all served up with a gorgeous three-course dinner!' Article continues below It added:
