Former chat show host Trisha Goddard gave her followers an insight into her health as she grapples with stage four breast cancer. The 67 year old opened up about living with this incurable

condition during her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house and has now taken to Instagram to update fans on a new challenge she's facing: Raynaud's syndrome. On the NHS website,

Raynaud's phenomenon is described as a condition that disrupts normal blood flow to the fingers and toes. It's suspected that Trisha's Raynaud's may be an after-effect

of her intensive cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy. Through her Instagram account, Trisha posted a picture showcasing her pallid fingers, revealing how the severity of Raynaud's

has escalated with her ongoing chemotherapy. Alongside her photo, Trisha penned: "Anybody else dealing with pesky Raynaud's? If you do, here's what happens when you forget to

wear gloves when buying frozen food, and then go about putting it in your freezer, duh!" She admitted to having experienced it mildly for some time and shared that it intensified after

over a year of treatment cycles every three weeks. Despite the discomfort, Trisha remarked: "Compared to other, um... tings dat be going downit vex me small time, still...Ouch!!"

Enduring the painful sequence where her fingers transition from red to blue to an icy grey/white before returning to their natural colour, she humorously signed off with: "Here's

herself waiting for the painful fingers to go bright red, then blue, then icily grey/white before they eventually go back to normal!" reports the Mirror. Trisha has opened up about her

strategies for managing Raynaud's, revealing that she wears gloves while driving and uses a napkin when holding cold drinks to prevent triggering the condition. "When I have a cold

drink, I use a napkin to hold the glass and so on," she continued. "BUT every so often I forget; the burning sensation starts and my fingers go painfully numb while they turn the

colours of the Union Jack!" In addition, Trisha provided insight into how chemotherapy can affect Raynaud's, explaining to her followers about the way the condition

"manifests" and emphasising the importance of being "important to manage and be aware of this side effect." Good Morning Britain's Dr Amir Khan left a kindly message

in the comments section: "Sorry babes, hope you feel better, it's such a painful condition." In response, Trisha expressed her gratitude with a simple emoji blowing a kiss.

After her departure from the CBB house, Trisha spoke openly about how she coped with her cancer treatment while isolated from the public eye. She detailed the preparations she made prior to

entering the famous house, including undergoing a round of chemotherapy just a day before joining the show, all the while travelling from her home in Connecticut, USA. Trisha shared with the

MailOnline: "I went to the infusion centre on April 1. I call it my spa room. I had a soupcon of chemo and targeted hormone therapy, one little bag after the other. I have a port

catheter [in her chest] and I get plugged in." She added: "My oncologist is brilliant, a rock star, and so sweet. He said, 'I'm going to help you do this because your

message [of hope] is so great'." ITV ensured her time in CBB was comfortable, providing her with several luxuries, including her own bedroom suite.
