POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AN ASSAULT IN THE NEWCASTLE CITY CENTRE NIGHTCLUB WHICH SAW A WOMAN IN HER 20S SUSTAIN INJURIES 09:55, 28 May 2025 An alleged assault in Newcastle city centre is
being investigated after a woman was dragged to the floor and scratched in a popular venue. At around 1.30am on Sunday, April 27, the attack is said to have taken place, after a woman spilt
a drink down the back of the victim in Cosy Joes nightclub. The victim turned around and asked for an apology, but the woman assaulted her by dragging her to the floor and scratching her
several times. The victim, who is in her 20s, sustained injuries to her eyes, chest, jaw and face. Northumbria Police officers have been making ongoing enquiries since the report was made,
and CCTV footage from the night was recently reviewed. Now, officers have released an image of a woman they are looking to speak to, as she is understood to have been in the area at the time
of the incident, and it is thought that she could have information which may assist the investigation. The woman, or anyone who knows her, is asked to send a direct message to Northumbria
