senior policy advisor at the AARP Public Policy Institute (PPI), where she conducts policy research, analysis, and development on a variety of health-related issues impacting adults ages 50
and older, including food insecurity (with a focus on SNAP), social determinants of health, mental health, and nongroup health insurance. Dean joined PPI in 2014 as a health policy analyst.
Before coming to PPI, she coordinated SNAP outreach efforts for AARP Foundation and worked on public health nutrition research and community outreach efforts with several organizations. She
