EQUIPMENT (DME)/PROSTHETICS * If a provider determines that DME needed is EMERGENT OR URGENT to stabilize or decrease the risk of further injury, it is covered under the authorization and

can be provided to the Veteran. * If a provider determines that the DME is not EMERGENT or URGENT then DME/prosthetic orders are faxed to VA and a VA consult is entered, reviewed, and
