Dr. Christina Orr, DPT, has spent much of her career serving America’s Veterans. Dr. Orr began her VA career as a physical therapist at the Hunter Holmes VA Medical Center in Richmond, Va.,

before taking a position at the Milwaukee VAMC.  With more than 20 years of experience at the Milwaukee VAMC, she has worked as an acute care physical therapist, medical center ergonomist

and a health system specialist supporting the medical center’s deputy and assistant directors. Dr. Orr is active in several professional organizations, including the American College of

Health Care Executives, where she has served several terms on the Board and as President of the Wisconsin Chapter; the National Association of Health Services Executives- Wisconsin Chapter,

serving as the current chapter President and is one of the chapter’s charter members; and the American Physical Therapy Association and its state-affiliate chapter, the Wisconsin Association

of Physical Therapy, where she served as treasurer for the Continuing Education Special Interest Group for several years. In her spare time she mentors students pursuing health care

professions, including members of the Future Healthcare Leaders of America Program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also mentors participants in various leadership development

programs throughout VA and professional organizations.  Dr. Orr earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Hampton University. When not at work, she

enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in the community and/or participating in organized running and cycling events across the country.
