“Suspension of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Connections Activities and Extension of VHA Claim and Appeal Filing Deadlines” also ends on June 9, 2023, 60 days after the end of the

emergency period defined in 42 U.S.C. 1320b5(g)(1).  HOW DOES THIS IMPACT THE BENEFICIARY TRAVEL PROGRAM? EFFECTIVE JUNE 9, 2023, VETERANS SUBMITTING A CLAIM FOR TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT MUST

SUBMIT IT WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THEIR VA MEDICAL APPOINTMENT in accordance with 38 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) §70.20. APPLY ONLINE FOR TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT Beneficiary travel claims can
