With the introduction of VA’s new Urgent Care Benefit that allows you to receive care at in-network urgent care clinics (at VA expense), we will be closing the Urgent Care Clinic at the
Perry Point VA Medical Center effective March 1, 2024. Following the closure, the Primary Care Clinic in Building 361 will have increased Primary Care appointment availability, including
same-day appointments. To be eligible for urgent care at an in-network provider at VA expense, Veterans must be enrolled for VA health care and have received care from VA within the past 24
months. There are currently eight (8) in-network urgent care clinics that are within 10 miles of the Perry Point VA Medical Center. You can follow these simple steps to find and use an
in-network urgent care clinic near you: * Visit www.va.gov/find-locations, enter your location and choose “Urgent care” as the facility type. Or call VA’s Office of Community Care at
877-881-7618. * When you arrive at the urgent care clinic, confirm that the provider is an in-network urgent care provider. * The provider will call 833-483-8669 to confirm you are eligible
for the urgent care benefit. * If you need assistance, call 888-901-6609. If you think your life or health is in danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department right away. You do
not need to check with VA before calling for an ambulance or going to an emergency department. During a medical emergency, VA encourages all Veterans to seek immediate medical attention
without delay. Please remember that you or the community provider must notify VA within 72 hours of admission to a community medical facility by calling the National Emergency Notification
Center at 844-724-7842. For medical advice or to ask questions about your medications 24 hours a day, seven days a week, please call our Telephone Care Line at 855-679-0250. To schedule a
Primary Care appointment, please call the Primary Care Phone Line at 410-605-7777 or the Appointment Center at 1-855-679-0250 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
