communities or professions. By Megan Barglind-Rodman, Public Affairs Specialist May 19, 2025 The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center (OGJVAMC) announces that it is accepting nominations for
Hall of Heroes, a new facility program to recognize Veterans who have exhibited exemplary courage in battle or have made outstanding contributions to their communities or professions.
Inductees are honored on the Hall of Heroes wall at the OGJVAMC. The Hall of Heroes program will recognize local military Veterans who have received or are currently receiving care or
services within the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center or one of its community-based outpatient clinics. Nominations will be collected throughout the year via mail. Inductions will occur once
each year near Veterans Day. Veterans may be alive or deceased. Anyone can nominate a Veteran, including themselves. “We are thrilled to announce the establishment of our Hall of Heroes, a
heartfelt tribute to extraordinary Veterans whose remarkable military service or enduring community contributions inspire us all. This annual recognition celebrates their courage, sacrifice,
and unwavering commitment to making a difference during service and at home” stated Pam Dubrow, Veteran Experience Officer. To nominate a Veteran or yourself, complete the Hall of Heroes
application and mail it to the Veteran Experience Officer, 325 East H Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801. The application can be downloaded from the Iron Mountain VA website and Facebook page.
