Sherri Johnson, MSN, RN, was appointed Associate Director of Patient Care Services for Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in September 2022. Johnson obtained her BSN in 1991 and MSN in 1998, both
from the University of Kansas. She has worked in Intensive Care, Hospice, and Subacute Care units as a bedside nurse and has been in nursing leadership for over 26 years. She joined the
Kansas City VA Medical Center in 2016 as a PACT case manager RN. Sherri also worked as the Deputy of QSV/Risk manager before moving into the Deputy Associate Director of Patient Care
Services for the last three years. Johnson comes from a family of Veterans, with both brothers serving in Vietnam and her father being an enlisted service member. She is honored to serve our
nation’s heroes and the excellent hospital staff that provide them care. Johnson has three adult children and five grandchildren who will be coming to visit frequently. She always has an
open door, and she encourages everyone to stop by and say hello.
