As the Nurse Recruiter, Ms. Johnson coordinates, collaborates, and supports the recruitment and retention processes for nurses within the Erie VA. Ms. Johnson strives to maintain excellent

working relationships with internal and external customers while promoting a positive image of VA Nursing. She identifies top talent for the facility and provides opportunities for nursing

candidates. Nurses remain vital to the health, healing, and well-being of our Veterans.  Ms. Johnson has an MSN with a focus on education, in addition to, a Masters certificate in Holistic

nursing. Ms. Johnson's previous role of Network Education Coordinator for Whole Health within VISN 4, Health Promotion Disease Prevention Program Manager also included COVID-19 Testing

and Vaccination Coordinator at the Erie VAMC.   Throughout her nursing career, Ms. Johnson has instructed at local universities, held positions as a Cardiac Nurse Specialist, an Associate

Nurse Manager at a level II trauma center, a Staff Development Specialist, and provided care within intensive care units. She was the Vice-President of the Erie Nurse Organization Veterans

Affairs for 8 years and is currently a member of the VA Nurse Recruiter Association.  Ms. Johnson remains passionate about nursing and advocating for nursing professionals. She recognizes
