Des Moines , IA — The VA Marshalltown Community Based Outpatient Clinic held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 29, 2024, at 201 East Merle Hibbs Blvd., Marshalltown, Iowa. Some of
Iowa’s elected officials and representatives attended to give remarks as well as a representative of the Meskwaki Nation and VA Central Iowa Health Care System Director Lisa Curnes. “This
new Clinic is a state-of–the-art facility that our Veterans, our staff, Marshalltown, and Iowa can be proud of,” said Curnes. “The clinic incorporates the latest layout design, the newest
technology, and the most modern services to our Veterans, who have earned the best care our nation can provide.” The new 12,000 square foot facility boasts dedicated spaces for primary care,
telehealth, physical therapy, optometry, cardiology, audiology and other services. The project was completed in just over a year following the groundbreaking on June 5, 2023. Attendees of
the ribbon-cutting ceremony had an opportunity to tour the facility and recognize the great work of those involved. “This Marshalltown Clinic is a wonderful new facility, and it will
certainly provide a great setting to allow us to fulfill our mission to serve our Veterans as well as they have served us,” said Curnes. “We will continue to honor and serve America's
veterans, fulfilling President Lincoln's promise to care for those who have served in the military and their families, caregivers, and survivors.” ### Photo cutline: VA Central Iowa
