Vietnam Veterans and their families continue to be honored and thanked as part of the ongoing Vietnam War Commemoration. Any Service member who served on active duty, regardless of location,
between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, is included in the commemoration, which lasts through Veterans Day 2025. “This commemoration gives us yet another opportunity to tell our Vietnam
Veterans ‘Thank you and welcome home,’” said Sharon Coyle, Butler VA Health Care System Director. “We are truly honored to serve our Vietnam Veterans and their families here at Butler.” The
Butler VA, along with members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)-Butler Chapter will be presenting lapel pins to Vietnam Veterans on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 10am – 12pm
(EST) at the main facility (353 North Duffy Road) as part of the ongoing commemoration. Lapel pins will also be available at any one of Butler VA’s Community Based Outpatient Clinics located
in Armstrong, Butler (Cranberry Twp.), Clarion, Lawrence and Mercer counties. VIETNAM VETERANS CAN ALSO CALL 878-271-6492 TO REQUEST A PIN AT ANY TIME. ABOUT COMMEMORATIVE PARTNER PROGRAM

the Vietnam War, including personnel who were held as prisoners of war (POW), or listed as missing in action (MIA), for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States; and to
thank and honor the families of these Veterans. * Highlight the service of the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War and the contributions of federal agencies and governmental and
non-governmental organizations that supported the Armed Forces. * Pay tribute to the contributions made on the home front by Americans during the Vietnam War. * Highlight the advances in
technology, science and medicine related to military research conducted during the Vietnam War. * Recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by U.S. allies during the Vietnam War. The
