Construction of the Shoals VA Clinic resumed recently. The Birmingham VA Health Care System announced the construction with a groundbreaking in 2022. However, construction of the clinic was

delayed ensuring the project aligned with updated Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) design criteria. The new clinic will be located at 410 Cox Blvd, Sheffield, Alabama 35660. The Birmingham

VA anticipates a grand opening projected for Fall 2024.   Matterhorn Capital, LLC, was awarded the contract. The new clinic will expand all current services and offer the following:  *

Doubled space from approximately 6,300 square feet to over 16,000 square feet.  * 18 patient rooms for primary care, women's health, and mental health * 3 Telehealth rooms. * Expanded

face-to-face services include primary care, lab services, mental health, and Telehealth Services * New services will include Audiology and Optometry  Birmingham VA Health Care System is

committed to providing Alabama Veterans with timely, high-quality care by opening new care sites within their local communities. The current Shoals VA Clinic opened in February 1999 with 30

full-time staff serving approximately 3,500 Veterans each year.
