pharmacists have on our Veterans.  “Pharmacy plays an instrumental role in providing high quality healthcare within the VA,” said Dr. Jeffrey Denner, Atlanta VA HealthCare System Chief of

Pharmacy. “I am extremely proud of our pharmacy team as they strive each and every day to ensure the safe and effective use of medications”. The Atlanta VAHCS pharmacy is comprised of 50

clinical pharmacists and 55 clinical pharmacy practitioners and provides comprehensive clinical pharmacy services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The pharmacy service has a 24/7 inpatient

pharmacy, a 7 day a week outpatient pharmacy, and a clinical pharmacy service which includes embedded clinical pharmacy practitioners in Primary Care, Medical Specialty Clinics, Geriatrics

and Extended Care, Mental Health, and the Emergency Department. Army Veteran Ramon Sims praised the Atlanta VA pharmacy staff for always having a caring demeanor and genuine concern for the

patient’s well-being. “The VA pharmacists always take the time to make sure I feel comfortable with all my medications and provide additional drug information when necessary.” “I can
