by failing to attend scheduled blood tests. TJD was the subject of a media storm in March 2014 when the repeat rapist was released for monitoring in the community and remained free despite

breaching conditions by failing to take a diary of his movements to a meeting. In the most recent alleged breaches, TJD is accused of failing to attend two medical appointments for tests to

verify whether he was taking required anti-libidinal medication. He pleaded not guilty in Perth Magistrates Court today and was granted bail to appear again in December. Shadow corrective

services minister Paul Papalia criticised Attorney-General Michael Mischin for being a year late to produce legislation tightening the DSO Act after a review in the wake of the TJD

controversy last year. A spokeswoman for Mr Mischin said the legislation was being drafted and subject to legal advice. “It will be brought before Cabinet for approval to print as soon as
