the event to again sell out in record time.

The Living End, Dan Sultan, The Whitlams and Megan Washington will all grace the stage at the Jim Hughes Amphitheatre on May 23 for a majestic night of live music under the Kimberley stars.

Ord Valley Events chairman Tony Chafer said the concert, staged on the banks of Lake Kununurra, would again be one of the highlights of the 10-day Ord Valley Muster.

"The board of Ord Valley Events is very excited about this year's line-up," he said.

"This is the first time we've had four major Australian acts at the KME, and we've structured a line-up of acts that we believe will have appeal to everyone.

"We encourage people to get in early as we expect this year's event will be another sell-out."

One of Australia's top rock bands The Living End rose to fame in 1997 after the release of their double A-side single Second Solution/Prisoner of Society, which peaked at number four on the

ARIA Singles Chart.

They have gone on to release six studio albums, with two reaching number one on the ARIA albums chart, while also taking home five ARIA Awards from 27 nominations.

A three-times ARIA Award winner, Sultan is coming off a successful 12 months that has seen his critically acclaimed album Blackbird hit gold and lead to sold out shows all over Australia and

in the UK.

He is currently on the road as a special guest on Paul Kelly's Merri Soul Sessions tour, and will headline his own Dirty Ground solo tour later this month.

The Tim Freedman-led Whitlams have become a staple of the Australian music scene since winning the best group gong at the 1998 ARIA Awards, as well as two other awards.

The band's line-up has remained unchanged for the past 10 years and four albums, while their song No Aphrodisiac made it to number one in triple J's Hottest 100 in 1997.

Having just released her second full-length album There There, Megan Washington rounds out this year's line-up with her indie pop tunes.

Her new album is inspired by the lush new-romantic sounds of the early 1980s, and is as infectious as her anthem-filled platinum debut I Believe You Liar.

The four major Australian acts will be complemented by a host of local talent and entertainment.

Earlybird tickets go on sale tomorrow from 9am and start at $94.60 for adults, $42.60 for children and $249.60 for families (two adults and two children).

The adult price rises to $109.60 from February 27, while tickets to the Kimberley Fine Diamonds Corporate Circle are $469.60.

Tickets are available at the Kununurra Visitor Centre on 9168 1177, Travelworld Kununurra and Ticketmaster on 136 100 or www.ticketmaster.com.au .
