The new plan is called Happy New Year 2018 and comes in two different prices. You can still avail offers with longer validity period (up to 91 days), with plans costing as much as Rs 499

giving you all the goodies, with high data usage for daily basis. Existing Jio users, who’re running on previous Rs 399 or Rs 509 plans, can also avail these offers, which will get queued

till their current plans expire. While the new plans aren’t exactly giving you high value for money, but even then, it’s good to see Jio being proactive to act against what its competition

a drastic fall in number of users added to its network, paving the way for incumbents like Airtel and Vodafone to take the centrestage, by offering data plans that are similar to Jio’s or

even better. Analysts believe that Jio needs to be sensible about pricing its 4G plans going forward, if it has to match up to its expectations in the coming years. It’ll be interesting to
