elections, BJP's Dr. Lata Wankhede has won Sagar seat. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Sagar seat was won by BJP candidate Rajbahadur Singh, while Congress candidate Prabhu Singh

Thakur had come in second place. In 2014's General Elections, Sagar constituency was won by BJP candidate Laxmi Narayan Yadav and Congress candidate Govind Singh Rajput was the
