Union Minister Venkiah Naidu announced the winners of the ‘Fast Track Smart City’ competition on 24 May, reported _ANI_. First on the list is Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, the complete list is as


follows: * Lucknow * Warangal * Dharamshala * Chandigarh * Raipur * New Town Kolkata * Bhagalpur * Panaji * Port Blair * Imphal * Ranchi * Agartala * Faridabad The first list of 20 smart


cities was declared on 28 January. Under the Smart City mission, the cities chosen in various stages of the competition will be given financial and technical assistance by the Centre to help


develop the infrastructure and other facilities in the area. Facilities like water power supply, sanitation management, efficient public transport, e-governance and IT connectivity will be


included in the plans for the smart cities plan which was approved in 2015, according to the Smart City government website. Each state is slated to have a number of smart cities depending on
