SEINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued new guidelines on lockdown measures and among others there would be night curfew from 7 pm to 7 am till May 18. “Prohibitions (Curfew) on
movement in ALL areas between 7 PM and 7 AM. No movement without passes. Medical emergencies exempted,” government spokesman Rohit Kansal said in a tweet. Among others, all inter-state,
inter-district and intra-district buses for public transport and private vehicles, except for purposes permitted under order in specific categories of districts, shall remain prohibited
during the time. as per the order, the following activities shall continue to remain prohibited across the entire J-K irrespective of the categorization of the districts: (I) All domestic
and international air travel of passengers, except for medical services, air ambulance, security purposes or for purposes as permitted by MHA. (ii) All passenger movement by trains, except
for security purposes or for purposes as permitted by MHA. (iii) Inter-state, Inter-district and intra-district Buses for public transport and private vehicles, except for purposes permitted
under this order in specific categories of districts. (iv) All schools, colleges, universities, educational/ training/ coaching institutions, etc. However, online/distance learning shall be
permitted. (v) Hospitality services other than those used for housing health/ police/ Government officials/ healthcare workers, stranded persons, and those used for quarantine facilities.
(vi)AII cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, sports / complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, shops and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places, except where
permitted under this order in specific categories of districts. (vii)AII social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions/ other gatherings. (viii) All
religious places/places of worship shall be closed for public. Religious congregations are strictly prohibited. (ix) The movement of individuals for all non-essential activities between 7 pm
to 7 am. District Magistrates shall issue specific prohibitory orders in this regard under Section 144 of CrPC. (x) Persons above 65 years of age, persons and with comorbidities, pregnant
women, and children below the age of 10 years, shall stay at home, except for meeting essential requirements or for health purposes. (GNS)
