As the communities of Port Allen and Brusly come to grips with the shootings that killed one and injured another at Friday's high school football game, investigators are asking the

community to help them piece together the incident. Brusly High School student Ja’Kobe Queen, 16, and Port Allen resident Brasia Davis, 28, were shot during the game’s half-time, said Sgt.

Landon Groger with the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. As of Sunday afternoon, no one was taken into custody, he said. Queen was taken to the hospital and later died from his

injuries, the Sheriff’s Office said. Davis was injured in the arm, Groger said. While it is unclear who was shooting and what the relationship is between Queen, Davis and the shooter, there

was a physical altercation between Queen and another man at the game, Groger said. He was unable to comment on if a weapon was found at the scene. Witnesses said the shooting happened near

the concession stand. The game was called off with a tied score of 13 points. Friday's game was the 52nd Sugar Cane Classic, a tradition between Brusly High and Port Allen High. There

will be crisis counselors and an increased security presence at West Baton Rouge schools on Tuesday when classes resume, Superintendent Chandler Smith said in a statement Saturday.  Davis

posted an update on her Facebook account early Saturday morning confirming she was shot in the arm and is "ok." Port Allen City Council member Clerice Lacy said she was at the game

and, in posts made to her Facebook account, condemned the shooting. "This day will never be forgotten, but we must stand strong. As a constant plea, I asked that we please put the guns

down!!! Please stop the violence and the senseless killings. Please speak up!! If you know something say something because it could have happened to anyone of us," she said. Port Allen

Mayor Richard Lee III also took to Facebook, encouraging parents to check in on their children. "Speak to your child about what they may have witnessed. If anyone is privy to any

information that may assist investigators in revealing the identity of the perpetrators involved, please share that information with WBRP Sheriff Department," he said. The

Sheriff's Office posted a link to its Facebook page where witnesses can submit videos and photos from the shooting to help with the investigation. To upload any information, visit here.
