some of his famous predecessors. In an interview alongside his _Batman v Superman_ opponent/costar Henry Cavill, Affleck told _Good Morning America’s_ Jesse Palmer that two legendary Batmen

– George Clooney and Christian Bale – had offered their guidance. “I talked to Clooney and he gave me some advice which is not repeatable,” Affleck joked. “And I talked to Christian, who

just told me to make sure I got a zipper in the suit, which was valuable, practice advice as it turned out.” Clooney starred as the caped crusader in the regrettable _Batman & Robin_

(1997), which featured the unforgettable nippled bat suit. And Bale starred as Batman in the Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed _Dark Knight Trilogy_: _Batman Begins_ (2005), _The Dark Knight_

(2008), and _The Dark Knight Rises_ (2012). Affleck also dished on the year long workout regimen he undertook to get into crime fighting shape, which he admits was spurred on by a little

a God-like alien. “I figure I had a lower bar to reach, I’m just a man after all,” Affleck quipped. When all was said and done, the _Gone Girl_ star says he packed on 20 pounds of muscle

for the role, which, he says, “was really hard to do, certainly at my advanced age.” But as long as the movie is well received, Affleck says all the work was well worth the effort. “I really

care about [the film] and I want it to do well. I feel like I got to work with some really talented people and I’m really proud of what we were able to do.” _Batman v Superman_ hits
