* LADY GAGA'S HBO CONCERT SPECIAL HELD ITS PREMIERE THURSDAY NIGHT * DURING A Q&A SESSION, THE MUSICIAN REVEALED SHE PLAYED FIVE SHOWS ON THE CHROMATICA BALL WITH COVID * LADY GAGA

WAS DRESSED "AS A CAR PART" ON THE RED CARPET Lady Gaga is revealing that nothing will stop her performing for her Little Monsters, even COVID! The pop superstar hit the red carpet

on Thursday, May 23, for the Los Angeles premiere of her new HBO concert special, _Gaga Chromatica Ball_, in a striking white creation that even featured part of a car. The breathtaking

white, strapless Selva gown featured hole detailing and included a white metal structure over the top part of the dress and across the waist, which Gaga revealed more about on her Instagram.

"On the red carpet I told them it was a car part. They said what kind and I said I don’t know, I’m not a mechanic," she wrote alongside an image of herself in the dress, one of

several she shared on May 23. Meanwhile, ahead of the screening at the Nya West event venue, Gaga, who was joined at the event by her boyfriend Michael Polansky, spoke about the project —

which premieres on Saturday, May 25, at 8 p.m. EST/PST on HBO and will be available to stream on Max — during a Q&A session, where she revealed that she had performed five shows of the

Chromatica Ball tour after testing positive for COVID. "I did five shows with COVID," she said, adding, "I shared it with everyone on my team and I said, 'I don't

want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work and you don't have to perform and you don't have to work that day, but I'm going to do the show,' because I just didn't

want to let all the fans down." Gaga explained the rationale behind performing while she had COVID and how she felt about doing so, saying "The way that I saw it also is that the

fans were all putting themselves in harm's way every day coming to the show. During all my quick changes, I kept going. 'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.' " Elsewhere

she discussed the meaning of the tour and how she had felt "brave" enough to explore a different aesthetic and sound with the shows. "I have been saying that the _Chromatica

Ball_ and this album in a lot of ways was the end of a time in my life and the beginning of a totally new one," she explained. "And I feel like that time is actually maybe a few

albums of time that I was sort of saying goodbye to old wounds or scars or challenges. And with this tour, I felt really renewed to do something entirely different." She continued,

"This tour from an aesthetic perspective was totally different than what I put out with the album. And even musically, what we did live was different than the record. So I think I felt

brave enough to embrace this brutalist aesthetic in a way that I wasn't brave enough to do when I first put the album out." When it comes to the next release from Gaga, she

explained she's been busy working on something that's very different to her previous music. "I am in the studio every single day. I have written so many songs, I've been

producing so many songs, and it's nothing like anything that I've ever made before, but I love to break genre and I love to explore music," she said. Meanwhile, the pop

superstar also spoke to _Entertainment Tonight _ahead of the premiere and dished on whether she would be revisiting her "Telephone" duet with Beyoncé. Though she didn't

confirm one way or the other, she did share with the outlet that, "Whenever Beyoncé calls, I'd like to pick up the phone." Gaga — who also sported a black look for the Q&A

complete with structural lace jacket and eye mask — then joined guests for the standing-room-only screening, where she was spotted jumping up and down along to both "Monster" and

“Stupid Love," as well as chatting with Polansky. The film follows Gaga's 2022 Chromatica Ball tour stop at Dodger Stadium in L.A., where she performed hits like "Just

Dance," "Poker Face" and "Born This Way" to a sold-out crowd of 52,000 people. When the trailer for the special dropped earlier in May, Gaga wrote on social media

she's "so excited that we can finally share The Chromatica Ball film with the world." "This film chronicles a time of immense creativity…the fashion, the dance, the

music," she wrote. "Revisiting the tour leaves me speechless the way we had each other — you all showed up for music and art in a big way, and with a level of excitement and

freedom that I will never forget. Stadium after stadium. Sold out crowds. The deafening singalongs." "_Chromatica_ was colorful revenge," she continued. "The chaos of it

all became pure energy and life. With a texture best experienced live." _Chromatica _was released in May 2020 and spawned No. 1 hits on the _Billboard _Hot 100 with "Stupid

Love" and "Rain on Me" featuring Ariana Grande. The following year, "Rain on Me" earned a Grammy Award for best pop duo/group performance. The Chromatica Ball tour

spanned 20 shows across Asia, North America and Europe from July 2022 through September 2022. While Gaga has not yet revealed plans for new music, she will next make her debut as Harley

Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker in _Folie á Deux_ premiering Oct. 4, 2024. Beyond work, Gaga appears to be going strong with Polansky. In April, she even sparked engagement rumors

when she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger while out and about in L.A. Gaga and Polansky, a tech entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist, were first linked in 2020

when they were photographed kissing at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. Shortly after, they made their relationship Instagram official after attending the 2020 Super Bowl together in

Miami. _Gaga Chromatica Ball_ premieres Saturday, May 25, at 8 p.m. EST/PST on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
