He doesn’t want to talk about it. Rod Stewart was forced to postpone a residency performance at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas just hours before the show was set to

kick off on Sunday. While the “Maggie May” rocker said he wasn’t “feeling well,” he assured his disappointed fans that the canceled performance would be made up later this month. “I am sorry

to inform you that I’m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10,” Stewart, 80, wrote in an Instagram Story less than four

hours before the concert was scheduled to begin. EXPLORE MORE “Your tickets will be valid for the new date,” he added. The Colosseum released a separate statement shortly after and confirmed

that the former Faces frontman had to postpone the June 1 show because of an unspecified illness. “We are sorry to inform that due to illness, Sir Rod Stewart’s show tonight at The

Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10,” the venue announced on Instagram. “Your tickets will be valid for the new date.” While most of the “Stay With Me” singer’s fans

wished him well amid his mysterious illness, others complained that the show was postponed and that they wouldn’t be able to attend the new date. “That feels kinda cheap for a show in which

a lot of people are tourists,” one person wrote on The Colosseum’s post. “Should give option for refund.” “Feeling so sad of this situation, won’t be able to come back,” another commented,

“but for sure hope Rod is feeling well soon!” The Post has reached out to Stewart’s reps for comment. This also wouldn’t be the first time the “Sailing” singer canceled one of his residency

concerts because he was forced to postpone his 200th residency show due to strep throat last summer. “I’m desperately sorry to miss this 200th show celebration,” he wrote Instagram and X in

August 2024. “Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me,” Stewart added. “I’m absolutely gutted. I’ve been looking forward to this concert for so long.” Stewart’s decision

to postpone his residency show at The Colosseum on Sunday night came after he performed at the venue on Thursday, May 29, and Saturday, May 31. He is scheduled to return to the Caesars

Palace theater on Thursday, June 5, Saturday, June 7, Sunday, June 8, and now the make-up show on Tuesday, June 10, per Billboard. The canceled performance also came less than one week after

the “I Don’t Want to Talk About It” artist was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday, May 26. Stewart was

surprised on the stage by five of his eight children, including Kimberly, 45, Sean, 44, Ruby, 37, Renee, 32, and Liam, 30. “Tonight, we are here as the biggest and most loving fans of our

father, Sir Rod Stewart,” Ruby, whom the British rocker shares with his ex, Kelly Emberg, said. “Or as we all know him, Papa Stew.” “Some guys may have all the luck and some remain forever

young,” she added, “but our father is so much more than that.” “I am absolutely flabbergasted,” Stewart said before playing his hit song “Forever Young,” adding, “I didn’t know they were

here. My children.” After his residency shows in Las Vegas this month, Stewart is scheduled to hit the road for his One Last Time Tour across North America through August. He will also

perform at the Glastonbury Festival in his native England on June 29 before returning to Nevada to resume his Caesars Palace residency on Sept. 24.
