Titans head coach Brian Callahan is pleased with what he’s seen from quarterbacks Cam Ward and Will Levis this spring. Speaking to reporters Tuesday, the second-year Titans coach mapped out

his offseason plan for the quarterback competition between Ward, the first overall pick in this year’s draft, and the turnover-prone Levis, with the pair splitting the reps. “I’ve been

pleased with their demeanor and their approach. Will has done a really nice job of getting better at things he needed to get better at. I’ve felt pretty good about his offseason work and how

he has come back. Cam has done a really nice job of integrating himself… They’ve both done a really nice job getting up to speed, where they needed to,” Callahan said. As Ward and Levis

continue their progressions this offseason, Callahan — looking to leave an atrocious 3-14 campaign in the rearview — shared of the plan, “It will change probably a little bit when we get to

the OTAs and we have 7-on-7 and some teamwork and stuff like that.” EXPLORE MORE “Right now, we’re not really going against anybody, so we just roll through it,” he said. “They’re roughly

about even all the way through, which is pretty standard for this time of year.” Ward, 22, had long been the apple of the Titans’ eyes, with the organization turning down trade offers for

the No. 1 pick during the pre-draft process. He is coming off a 39-touchdown, seven-interception season at Miami. The selection of Ward comes two years after the Titans took Levis in the

second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He was named the Titans’ starting quarterback midway through his rookie season. Although Levis kept that title entering his first year under Callahan, it

was a rollercoaster run that resulted in a quarterback change to Mason Rudolph in December. In 12 games last season, Levis threw for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He’s

been working with personal quarterback coach Jordan Palmer this offseason, per ESPN. The Titans visit the Broncos in Week 1.
