PATNA: A day after Tej Pratap Yadav revealed his relationship with a girl on social media, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad expelled his eldest son from the party for six years. Lalu, in his post on

Pratap Yadav will not have any role of any kind in the party and family. “Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The activities, public

conduct and irresponsible behaviour of the elder son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions,” he wrote. Lalu further said, “Therefore, I remove him from the party and

family. He is expelled from the party for a period of six years. He is capable of seeing the good and bad and the merits and demerits of his personal life. Those who will have relations with

him should take their own decisions. I have always been an advocate of public shame in public life. The obedient members of the family have adopted and followed this idea in public life.”

The Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and younger brother Tejashwi Prasad Yadav also corroborated the RJD president’s view on the issue. In response to a media query, Tejashwi said, “My

elder brother is an adult, and he has the right to take decisions about his personal life. Our party chief has already made it clear.” He further said, “We can’t tolerate such things. We

are working and dedicated to the people of Bihar. If it is about my elder brother, political life and personal life are different. Our party chief has made it clear, and ever since he has

said so, it is his feelings. We didn’t question such things… What he is doing in his personal life, nobody asks before doing anything. I have come to know about it through the media only.”

On Saturday, Tej Pratap, who is holidaying in the Maldives, shared a picture with a girl on Facebook, in which he named his beloved as Anushka Yadav.
