prognostic potential, according to a new study. 265,881 participants completed three rounds of FIT, with negative test results in rounds 1 and 2 and colonoscopy follow-up for those with


positive FIT. 3.3% (8,806) of participants had a positive FIT, with advanced neoplasia detected in 1.2% (3,254) and CRC in 0.2% (557). F-Hb concentrations in rounds 1 and 2 of FIT screening


were the strongest outcome predictors, with risk predictions matching the observed risk for the majority of participants. Prognostic models based on age, sex and F-Hb concentrations during
