FACULTY POSITIONS IN PEDIATRIC DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY Applications are now being accepted for two new tenure-track faculty in Pediatrics at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to

join a newly formed research group centered on cardiac developmental biology. Investigators focusing on the molecular regulation of lineage determination, cell cycle regulation, and terminal

differentiation as they pertain to cardiomyocytes, vascular development, and cardiac innervation are sought. Physicians-Scientists at all levels are encouraged to apply. There is particular

interest in assembling a group of investigators with complementary systems approaches. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have a record of research productivity and

grant support. Successful candidates will have academic appointments in Pediatrics and in a basic science department of the Medical School and are expected to establish a strong externally

funded research program and contribute to graduate and medical education. Positions come with generous start up packages. This recruitment represents an expansion of the Herman B Wells

Center, a highly interactive and multi-disciplinary research center with clinical responsibilities at the Riley Hospital for Children. Active programs currently include cardiomyocyte cell

cycle regulation, cardiac and vascular development, hematopoicsis and mycloid gene regulation, gene therapy, DNA repair and fetal and neonatal metabolic physiology. Transgenic and gene

targeting facilities and a mass spectrometry core facility are available on site. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, summary of research accomplishments and future research plans

and the names of at least three references to: Dr. Loren Field; Chair, Search Committee; Wells Center for Pediatric Research; Riley Hospital for Children; 702 Barnhill Drive, Room 2600;
