ABSTRACT THE scientific programme of this year's anniversary meeting of the Chemical Society was arranged in collaboration with the Chemistry Division of the Government's Atomic
Energy Research Establishment. During March 28–30 a symposium on "The Chemistry of the Heavy Elements"and on "Radioactive Tracers "took place in Oxford, and on April 1 a
