THE ONE SHOW PRESENTER ALEX JONES WAS LEFT SPEECHLESS AFTER JACKIE CHAN MADE AN UNEXPECTED ADMISSION ON TUESDAY 20:40, 20 May 2025 Jackie Chan discusses 'risking his life' over
stunts The One Show presenter Alex Jones was left gobsmacked when a guest confessed he "risked his life" on Tuesday (May 20). In the latest episode of the popular BBC show, Alex
and her co-host Clara Amfo covered the day's top stories from around the UK. They also had a chat with stars of Karate Kid: Legends, Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio and Ben Wang, as well as
celebrated pianist Jools Holland. The sixth film in the martial arts series follows on from the 2010 film starring Jaden Smith, and the successful comedy series Cobra Kai, which ended
earlier this year. "Jackie, you've done over 200 films and the big thing with you is you want to do your own stunts, and I'm sure the same was the case in this film?"
Alex asked on today's The One Show, reports the Express. Article continues below Jackie responded frankly: "In the old days, we didn't have money, we didn't have time, we
just risked my life to do all these stunts," leaving the hosts speechless. "When we have money, we know the technology, the audience don't like to see Jackie Chan using
special effects. So until now, and even I tell Ben, you have to do your own stunts, and the audience respects you." "It's a lot to live up to," Alex observed, before
Jackie explained how Charlie Chaplin inspired his style of fighting. "It's the old days, nothing, no special effects. They do all kinds of crazy stunts and I said, 'I gotta do
it'," he added. "Then I just change a little bit, use it in my movie and I just do the same thing. But I hurt a lot... I thought I had to do the old things." A visibly
shocked Alex then exclaimed: "Oh my goodness, it's amazing that you're sitting here in one piece, Jackie," with Clara chiming in: "He's here! A man
committed." Karate Kid: Legends has been directed by Jonathan Entwistle from a script by Rob Lieber, and is set to hit cinemas on Friday, May 30. The highly anticipated movie also stars
Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, and Shaunette Renée Wilson. Article continues below THE ONE SHOW AIRS WEEKNIGHTS ON BBC ONE AT 7PM
