23-second clip has led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man. Obtained by The Times of India, the footage appears to be filmed from a back room in a salon, with what sounds like the clinking

of plates and cutlery heard in the background. The video shows a customer in a long sleeved white top sitting back against a shiny black padded chair as the worker, who appears to be a

barber first applies a water spray to his face. The member of staff, dressed smartly in a matching dark top and jacket ensemble with blue jeans, then applies shaving lotion to his hands with

a pump before raising one hand to his mouth and appears to spit in it. The barber goes onto rub his hands together, step behind his customer and slather the saliva-enhanced cream on his

Sunday, was one of horror. Sriram said: "Whoever saw this video will not take eyes off the barber next time". Over on Facebook, Manoj said the worker had "broken trust of his

customers" while Amar said "strict action must be taken by the police". A complaint was filed to the Wave City police station local to the salon after the video came to light.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police or ACP, Priyashri Pal, said the force had gone onto identify the name of the salon and worker from the footage. The arrest of Arshad Ali of Aslam Colony

in Dasna was later confirmed, with the Level Up salon in Dhana, in the Madhya Pradesh state of India, saying the suspect had been employed by them only a week beforehand. Ali has been

charged under section 271 for spreading infection of a deadly disease and section 272 for intentionally spreading infection under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which is the Indian

one barber called for higher standards in the industry after seeing customers come to him with skin infections. Mike Taylor, who runs a barbering training academy in Dorset, said he had seen

lots of cases of young men catching ringworm from haircuts. He told the BBC "cheap, dirty unqualified barbershops are littering the high streets", saying failing to thoroughly

clean foil clippers used to create popular skin fade-style haircuts could lead to ringworm and folliculitis. Ringworm is a common, fungal skin infection that causes a red, itchy rash while

folliculitis presents as small, red or pus-filled bumps on the scalp.
