There are at least eight victims who were attacked during a 'targeted terror attack' involving Molotov cocktails in Boulder, Colorado. The attack occurred on Sunday afternoon just


before 1:30p.m. at the intersection of 13th Street and Pearl Street. According to reports there was a group of people participating in a pro-Israel demonstration when the attack occurred.


Boulder Police said they were evacuating several blocks of the typically popular pedestrian mall area, saying that there were 'several victims' in the attack. The attacker, who has


not been formally identified, has been taken into custody. Police asked residents to avoid the stretch of Pearl Street between Walnut and Pine as they continue to investigate. FBI Director


Kash Patel posted on social media: “Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available." Colorado Gov. Jared


Polis said in a statement that he was “closely monitoring” the situation, adding that “hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable.” Officials said the four men and four women have been

the victims range from 67 to 88. He says at least one of the victims was seriously injured and is in critical condition. "Our thoughts are heavily focused on their recovery," he

"FREE PALESTINE" IS NAMED The FBI says it's treating the attack as a suspected act of terrorism, confirming there are six victims. The suspect, according to FBI's special


agent Mark Michalek, was heard to have yelled "Free Palestine" during the attack. He was named as Mohamed Sabry Soliman. The victims are aged between 67 and 88, Michalek adds in

Police Chief Stephen Redfearn says the police are currently interviewing witnesses and asks people to avoid speculation. At a press conference he said: "This act is unacceptable, I hope


you will join me this evening as we're working through this investigation... we've got dozens and dozens of people here, our state, local and federal partners are working through


this to figure out exactly what happened." 23:49KEY EVENT SUSPECT PICTURED Eyewitnesses describe a shirtless male suspect throwing Molotov cocktails at the group. Horrifying video


showed the suspect, a middle-aged man, holding bottles of what appeared to be alcohol for the Molotov cocktails as he shouted at bystanders. 23:38KEY EVENT JEWISH COMMUNITY SPEAK OUT


Boulder's Jewish community also spoke out against the incident, releasing a joint statement, which reads: "We are saddened and heartbroken to learn that an incendiary device was


thrown at walkers at the Run for Their Lives walk on Pearl Street as they were raising awareness for the hostages still held in Gaza. "Our hearts go out to those who witnessed this


horrible attack, and prayers for a speedy recovery to those who were injured. When events like this enter our own community, we are shaken. Our hope is that we come together for one another.

at Pearl Street and 8th Street to walk the length of Pearl Street Mall. Eyewitnesses said that the suspect threw Molotov cocktails at a group of people marching in the street to commemorate


Israeli hostages who remain in Gaza. Such walking groups have cropped up across the country and typically get together weekly to walk. The group who organized the walk in Boulder, Run For


Their Lives, said in a statement, "This is not a protest; it is a peaceful walk to show solidarity with the hostages and their families, and a plea for their release." 23:34KEY


EVENT SUSPECT IN CUSTODY Officers have taken an unidentified suspect into custody without incident who was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, Boulder Police Chief Steve


Redfearn said at a press conference shortly after the incident. 23:26Paige Ingram INJURIES RANGED FROM "VERY SERIOUS" TO "MINOR" Police chief Steve Redfearn said the


incident happened around 1.26pm local time and that initial reports were that "people were being set on fire". He said some had been taken to hospital and injuries ranged from


"very serious" to "minor". "When we arrived we encountered multiple victims that were injured, with injuries consistent with burns," Mr Refearn told the media.
