Major uk airport declares emergency response after plane reports dangerous issue

A United Airlines flight has been forced to make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport this evening after experiencing a failure shortly after take off. The Boeing 767-300 plane reported

a hydraulic failure shortly after taking off from Heathrow Airport and was forced to return for an overweight landing just before 6pm this evening. Emergency response teams including fire

crews, paramedics and airport operations staff were on high alert after the call came in from the aircraft. It was also reported that the flight was carrying dangerous goods in the hold,

adding anohter risky layer to the scenario. A spokesperson for United Airlines confirmed that there were 63 passengers and 10 crew on board the flight. They told the Mirror: "United

flight 941 returned to London Heathrow to address a maintenance issue. The plane landed safely, passengers deplaned normally, and we’re working to get our customers to their destination as

soon as possible." Current details about the landing or the safety of any passengers or crew on board the aicraft have not yet been confirmed by United. Passengers on other flights

could experience delays due to the emergency response and should check with Heathrow Airport and their airlines for the latest updates. It comes after terrifying footage emerged showing

planes coming from a FedEx plane after it took off and was forced to return to the runway. The plane was spotted in the air with flames coming from it as it flew over Newark Airport in the

US. Emergency services rushed to the scene with the fire raging in one of the engines. "Engine failure/fire FedEx 3609 at Newark on takeoff, returned to land," read a post on

social media. After taking off at 7:58am the plane was forced to U-turn back to Newark for an emergency landing at 8:07am. Bystanders are reported to have heard "explosions" at the

major American airport that serves New York City, they described how the aircraft took off with the flames then visible and it was able to safely return to the airport. Social media clips

show the plane's right engine on fire while it was in the air and still large flames were coming from it on the ground. It has been reported that the fire was started by birds entering

the engine. Emergency were also filmed by the plane on the tarmac and successfully putting out the fire. "FedEx #FDX3609,Boeing 767, suffered a bird strike leading to right engine

failure this morning at Newark Airport. The pilots declared an emergency and safely landed back just 9 minutes after takeoff. Kudos to the crew for their exceptional handling of a tough
