Whenever we write about Tiluf, we always choose to say that Tiluf is the World’s first ‘Decentralized Mixed Reality’. But what do we mean when we say it? What is Mixed Reality? Why does it

need to be decentralized? This article will explain why we are doing what we do in this particular way! First, let’s talk about decentralization, and WHY WE NEED IT: When the power of making

decisions — what to do and what not to do — comes to a single entity or organization, by default, they get access to manipulate the outcome to drive their revenue. When centralization comes

to the financial sector, it directly affects value. For example, in real life, government and banks have the power to create inflation as they control the flow of fiat currencies. They can

create various inorganic economic situations without even bothering to inform or ask commoners. If we look at how centralization works on the internet, things will get simpler. Big tech

giants like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon have millions of users in their pockets. Now, they hold the power to manipulate those users’ choices and preferences. Consider the

advertisement model: no one asks you whether you want to see an ad or not! The centralized authority draws its revenue from the company whose advertisements they are running. You, the user,

on the other hand, are not getting any kind of payment for seeing the ad. This is one of the leading business models that a centralized platform uses. Moving away from centralized systems,

decentralization is when the control of decision-making for a community goes to a distributed audience instead of a centralized authority. These decentralized systems rely on blockchain

technology, which uses token economics as a financial model. In such a decentralized blockchain network, no one has to know or build trust with anyone else. Each member in the network has a

copy of the exact same data in the form of a distributed ledger book, which is a collection of financial accounts which can be accessed by everyone. If a member’s ledger is altered or

corrupted in any way, it will be rejected by the majority of the members in the network. The whole system runs on tokens, which are also known as cryptocurrencies. The distributive ledger

contains every movement of each cryptocurrency, and these cannot be manipulated by a single authority. So, no one can manipulate or make decisions for others in a decentralized system. Let’s

come to the mixed reality part. Mixed reality consists of two groundbreaking technologies: augmented reality and virtual reality. Augmented reality is where virtual objects can be

experienced in real life through wearable glasses or phone cameras. Virtual reality, on the other hand, is where the whole environment turns into a virtual one. So, as a whole, mixed reality

is all about experiencing a very different reality — instead of just the mundane physical one. Tiluf dreams of a world where realities can be merged, and then, even be shared. We believe in

breaking the barrier between the virtual and the physical world — and creating countless realities where people can be who they really want to be. We are offering users a way to choose the

life they want to live. Be it an intergalactic scavenger or a professor at Hogwarts, mixed reality is a gateway to creating the metaverse inside our real monotonous world. And, by adding the

experience of socialization through sharing realities with each other, a metaverse will be formed. Now, here comes the ethical question: what if a centralized organization holds the power

of decision-making for the metaverse? They can make people experience whatever they want to, and they can show people whatever they want to display. And just like the real world of

authorities, bureaucracy, and tech giants — commoners will lose the metaverse too. Because “with great power, comes great responsibility,” Tiluf chose not to build a system that will have

power over everyone who comes into it. Tiluf chose decentralization — where the vision lies in a reality for the people, by the people. We believe that mixed reality is a great tunnel that

ends in an utopian future, where every dream can be true in its most real form. We cannot afford to dream, to think, and to imagine what some authority wants us to. And decentralization

saves us from that. We all have various paths to walk on. But what really matters is which way we choose to take. One of the wisest minds in the world beautifully said, “it’s not who you are

underneath, it’s what you do that defines you.”
