Morrisons announces major change for shoppers with a more card

MORE CARD CUSTOMERS CAN EARN ADDITIONAL POINTS THROUGH SHOPPING WITH ANY OF 300 PARTNERED BRANDS 11:11, 21 May 2025 Morrisons have made a change to their More Card loyalty scheme which will

offer shoppers the opportunity to earn additional points. The expansion of the loyalty scheme will reward customers for shopping with a range of other retailers, as part of the More Partner

Points initiative. Shoppers will have the chance to earn points with over 300 participating brands including eBay, Very, Just Eat, Expedia and ASOS, the Mirror reports. To access More

Partner Points shoppers will need to log into the Morrisons More App or the More website and click through to a partnered retailer. More points will then be added to customer’s Morrisons

account automatically, but to be redeemed all purchases must be made through the Morrisons More App or website. The new feature is available to all registered More Card customers and is

digital-only. Article continues below When customers reach 5,000 More card points, they receive a Morrisons Fiver which is worth £5 and can be redeemed on a future shop, either in-store or

online. Kate Lavery, Loyalty Director, Morrisons, said: “We’re always looking for ways to make the Loyalty scheme even more rewarding. “More Partner Points means our customers can now

collect More Points on their everyday purchases beyond the weekly shop - whether they’re buying clothes, gifts, or booking a holiday. It’s another step towards helping customers save more,

more often.” The change however follows news that Morrisons has axed two of its loyalty scheme offers. More Card customers were able to get 20 per cent off fish and steak in Morrisons’ Fish

Fridays and Steak Saturdays promotions before they were recently pulled. Instead Morrisons has added 125 fish and steak products to its three for £10 deal. However shoppers have shared their

disappointment in the change on social media. On Morrisons' Facebook page one shopper wrote: “You have finished with 20% off the fish Friday and Steak Saturday not happy.” Article

continues below Others have also expressed their shock at the change on Reddit, as one shopper wrote: “Are Morrisons stopping the 20% Fish Fridays and Steak Saturdays? Manager last week told

me they were stopping it, offers no longer showing on the app!” A spokesperson from Morrisons told The Sun: “Market street is an important part of Morrisons and we are working hard to

maintain what customers really want, modernising our proposition and maintaining what is in our DNA as a company.” These changes come as Morrisons also announced the closure of 17 of its

Daily convenience stores. The company also announced upcoming closures among its meat and fish counters, in-store cafes, florists, pharmacies and Market Kitchens.
