Tragic reservoir discovery in search for missing man, 31

ASAD WENT MISSING ON MAY 27 11:13, 01 Jun 2025 The body of a man who went missing from Yorkshire has been recovered from a reservoir. Asad Mahmood, 31, was last seen in Shipley on Tuesday

morning. In an appeal, West Yorkshire Police said there were "serious concerns" for his welfare, Yorkshire Live reports. The force said they were appealing for any witnesses who

may have seen Asad in the afternoon or evening of May 27 in the Stanbury or Oldfield area of Keighley, particularly around the Lower Laithe Reservoir area. A search of the water was then

launched yesterday. On Saturday night, Janaza Announcements posted on Facebook that Asad's body had been discovered at the Lower Laithe Reservoir. It said: "It has been sadly

confirmed that a body has been found in the search for missing Asad Mahmood, age 31. "Asad had been reported missing since May 27 in the Stanbury/Oldfield area of Keighley. His body was

discovered this evening at Lower Laithe Reservoir." Tributes have since been paid for Asad. One person wrote: "Such a sad outcome my heart goes out to all his family and
