DEVASTATION HAS SWEPT ACROSS THE COBBLES IN RECENT WEEKS AFTER PC CRAIG TINKER WAS SHOCKINGLY KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY 06:03, 03 Jun 2025 There are set to be emotional scenes next week in
Coronation Street as the residents of Weatherfield say a final farewell to one of their own. Devastation has swept across the cobbles in recent weeks after PC Craig Tinker was shockingly
killed in the line of duty. The upbeat cop was supposed to be on placement with CID but was given the cold shoulder by mentor DC Kit Green. Kit's distracted, and rather cruel, behaviour
saw Craig seek advice from DS Lisa Swain, who encouraged Craig to prove Kit wrong, and let her know if he had any more issues with the detective constable. But his decision to put back on
his uniform later went against him, as after being called to a domestic disturbance at Lou and Mick Michaelis' home, he pursued Mick, suspecting him of being a drunk driver. Mick soon
became convinced that Craig was in corrupt Kit's pocket and knocked the breathalyser out of the officer's hand. Craig once again sprang into action and wanted to arrest Mick. But
as Mick headed to his van and pulled out a baseball bat, Craig tried to talk him down, but Mick brutally used it to attack him. He ordered him to get up but when he didn't move, he took
his bodycam and fled the scene, leaving a motionless Craig bleeding on the ground. Article continues below It was Maria Windass who later found Craig, having been left for dead, and despite
seemingly making improvements in the hospital, he suffered a cardiac arrest and tragically died, leaving his friends devastated. Next week, according to Corrie spoilers, Kit and Lisa agree
that Craig’s memorial is going to be hard for everyone and Kit reveals that the family has asked him to make a speech. On the morning of Craig’s memorial, Sarah’s concerned to discover that
Kit’s already left for the day. As the mourners gather for the memorial, Lisa worries when Kit doesn't show up as he’s making a speech. Whilst Bernie Winter and Sarah Platt desperately
try to get hold of Kit and Kirk is in no state to step in, Lisa makes a heartfelt speech honoring Craig. But where is Kit? Lisa apologises to Carla and, hoping to distract herself from the
day ahead, decides to go through some old files. When Lisa catches Betsy snooping in one of the files, she grabs it from her leaving Betsy intrigued. Article continues below Betsy confronts
Lisa about the file, but Lisa lies, saying it's about Betsy's paternity and she can't see it until she's eighteen. Meanwhile, Lou continues to wind up Maria in the salon
who orders her to hold the fort while she attends Craig’s memorial. When Gary tells Lou that Craig was well loved in the community and she should show people that she’s sorry for what
happened to him, Lou decides to go to the memorial, but will she receive a warm welcome?
