Court has heard how Jay's friend sent him a warning after the 19-year-old sent a concerning message. At 2.39am on the morning Jay disappeared, he sent a message to a friend in which he

said: "They've got a marker on me." The friend replied: "You need to get home lad, you're off your barnet." Between 5.03am and 5.52am on the morning Jay went

missing a message was sent from his phone saying: "Just took a £12k Rolly off some **** off to get 10 quid for it now." The inquest has heard friend Josh Forshaw's claim that

Jay's reference to "10 quid" actually meant £10,000. Article continues below Before lunch, Jay's friend Josh had been asked by the coroner to provide evidence this is a

commonly-used slang term. Josh responded to the request earlier today, asking the coroner: "Are you serious?" Speaking this afternoon he said: "It's used in my area but I

can't show that is what Jay intended. It was my interpretation." DCI Rachel Higson has also been asked if she is aware of the term. She said: "It's not something

I've heard of prior but I've consulted with colleagues and certainly in the east of the county, like Blackburn, it is a commonly-known term." At around 7.30am on the day Jay

disappeared he video called his friend Brad Hargreaves. The court hears Jay told Brad Hargreaves he didn't have the money for a taxi, to which Bradley said: "Just get a taxi here

and then jump out and don't pay for it or we'll pay." In this phone call Jay 'still sounded under the influence' but was not distressed or 'begging for help or

in danger', Josh told the inquest. The court hears that Jay sent the picture of knives down his trousers 'in case it kicks off' to Josh around 90 minutes before that phone

call. The 19-year-old was found dead in a ravine in Rural Parc de Teno, in Tenerife, on July 15 last year. The apprentice bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle, east Lancashire, had attended the NRG

music festival in Playa de las Americas. He travelled to an Airbnb in the remote Masca village in north-west Tenerife in the early hours of June 17, following an NRG event. Jay then left

the property, with the teenager intending to walk to the apartment his friends were staying in at Los Cristianos. The court has heard witness statements from three Spaniards who saw Jay in

the hours before he disappeared. At around 7.50am two friends, who were working on a construction project in the village of Masca, saw Jay on the main road. Jay asked them about bus times.

The month-long search for Jay sparked major media attention from the UK, LancsLive reports. He was eventually found in the Juan Lopez ravine, north of Masca, close to where his phone last

pinged. A post-mortem examination concluded he died of traumatic head injuries, consistent with a fall from height. Article continues below As Jay's body was returned to Lancashire for
