Pub on liverpool fc parade route issues 'please read' plea to fans

Liverpool FC’s Premier League parade. Arne Slot and his squad will take the trophy through the city next Monday (May 26). The reds were confirmed as champions following a 5-1 win over

Tottenham Hotspur last month. The club, Liverpool City Council and businesses along the route have been busy making preparations for the event ever since. The victory parade route will start

at Allerton Maze and will travel northbound on Queens Drive towards the Childwall Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover. From there the bus will go along Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West

Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street and The Strand before finishing at Blundell Street. Liverpool City Council’s Culture Liverpool team has been liaising with businesses and residents on the

route to make sure they are aware of the event and the impact it may have. One popular spot during the last two parades is The Baltic Fleet pub. With its location on The Strand just before

Blundell Street and large outdoor area, many will aim to grab a few drinks there as they wait for the bus. The Baltic Fleet is happy to host fans again this year but has released an urgent

plea to those planning to visit for the parade. Article continues below In an Instagram post earlier this week, the pub established a series of ground rules. It shared a picture of the team

bus going past the pub in 2022 and said: “If you are visiting us on Monday 26th of May please read this post! “No table bookings. Walk-ins only. No tickets, just turn up! Open 12pm - 11pm.

No kids after 8pm. Only drinks served by us to be drank in our pub and our outdoor seating area. “(You must) be extra kind to staff! Working in hospitality on a bank holiday is already

graft, never mind adding in an LFC parade! Please respect all members of staff and appreciate how hard they are working to serve you all!” The message was warmly received by customers. One

said: “Big ups to the staff keeping us hydrated!” Another said: “I won’t be in town but I love the message, always be kind and polite to bar staff!” The route is 15km long and the advice is

to use the length of the route. There are no dedicated viewing areas but there will be animation across the route this year. A council spokesperson said: "We are not able to provide

specific accessible viewing areas, but have made it a long route to allow as many people as possible to watch it. "We recommend those uncomfortable in large crowds choose a quieter

location along the route which is away from major landmarks, or choose a wider street where there is more space to move around." People are strongly advised to stay local if they can
