I tried blake lively's 39p home bargains drinks - one went down my sink

Home Bargains is stocking another celebrity drink at a discounted price. Hollywood star Blake Lively's range of sparkling sodas has appeared on shelves, and fans may be tempted to try

them while the price is low. At a glance, you would never link these unassuming cans to the Hollywood star. I only knew they existed when Betty Buzz appeared on the sleeve as a sponsor for

Ryan Reynolds' co-owned football club Wrexham AFC, and fans quickly made the connection. Blake launched the drinks in September 2021 with the idea that beverages should be

"uncomplicated and delicious". Betty Buzz is made with a short list of ingredients, and they are sold with cocktail mixers in mind - but they can also be enjoyed as is. The

official Betty Buzz website suggested refrigerating the cans for the best experience, which is what I did, as they were just on a shelf in Home Bargains. I poured each into a separate glass

and tried them all, and I found one clear winner. I tried these drinks purely as they came, without using them as alcohol mixers. However, TikTok is full of videos of people using these to

whip up some at-home cocktails, and there are recipes on the Betty Buzz website. Of the three drinks, my favourite was the Sparkling Lemon Lime. It tasted almost identical to a Sprite and I

can imagine this going really well if you were mixing it into an alcoholic drink like vodka or gin. It was a nice balance of sweetness without being overwhelmingly artificial. It's

probably the only one I would buy again to drink as a standalone, though. Sparkling Grapefruit was certainly something different compared to my usual taste in fizzy drinks. It was crisp and

refreshing but not a taste I'd be quick to try again - unless it was mixed in with other drinks to mask some of the strong citrus taste that bordered on being a little too tart for my

liking. My least favourite was the lemon flavour. I had half expected this once I opened the can and was met with an overwhelming smell. I'm not against lemon as a flavour, but this

came across as a little too bitter to me. I couldn't stomach more than a few sips before this went straight down the sink. If you are a fan of the drinks, Home Bargains has an offer (at

the time of writing) where you can get 3 cans for £1 or individually for 39p each. They can be bought in bulk on Amazon in the UK, but stock wasn't available as this article was

published. Blake isn't the only A-lister to have her own drink range stocked at a discount in Home Bargains. Last year, Kim Kardashian's Kimade was spotted on shelves for less than

50p a can.
