THE RECIPE IS HEALTHY AND EASY TO MAKE LAURA NIGHTINGALE What's On writer and content editor and OLIVIA WILLIAMS Senior reporter 05:00, 31 May 2025 This Slimming World friendly peach

cobbler recipe takes just 10 minutes to cook. Instagram foodie @cakeonthherun created a healthy twist on the American dessert. The sweet and comforting dish is usually served with a generous

scoop of vanilla ice cream. The well-known pudding features a soft fruity filling and a crunchy, baked topping made from batter, biscuits or dumpling. However, @cakeontherun's recipe

incorporates oats, making it an ideal breakfast option and a healthy makeover to the traditional treat. You can use fresh peaches or tinned ones, and if you're cooking for a family of

four, simply multiply the ingredients by four, reports Surrey Live. The recipe also substitutes ice cream with yoghurt to reduce the calorie content in this delicious, nutritious dish. The

recipe is also perfect for Slimming World or Weight Watchers followers. PEACH COBBLER RECIPE (SERVES 1) INGREDIENTS Article continues below - Four heaped tbsp oats, blended - One tsp

margarine - Two tbsp syrup - One peach (or half a can of tinned peaches) - Serve with yoghurt METHOD - Pre-heat your oven to 200C/400F/gas mark 6 - Blitz oats in a blender so it becomes a

flour - Put oats, margarine and 1 tbsp of syrup into a bowl, and stir with a spoon until the mixture clumps together - Use your hands to form a flat dough ball - Fill a small ramekin or

oven-proof dish with sliced peaches and drizzle over 1 tbsp of syrup - Pop the oat ball on top then oven bake for 10 minutes - Serve with yoghurt TIPS - Make it vegan - choose a non-dairy

yoghurt such as soya, almond or coconut and check the margarine contains no milk - Make it gluten free - use gluten free oats, available in most large major supermarkets - The recipe above

is for a single portion, but it can easily be made for more people by using a larger dish and increasing the ingredients - We used maple syrup, but you could use golden syrup or any lower

sugar alternative Article continues below
