Emmerdale taken off air tonight in schedule shake-up

NO EPISODE WILL AIR ON TUESDAY 07:16, 03 Jun 2025 Emmerdale will not air tonight on ITV1 following a schedule shake-up. The hit ITV soap has been taken off its usual 7.30pm slot due to

coverage of the UEFA Women's Nations League, Spain v England. Coverage of the match, live from Barcelona's RCDE Stadium, starts at 5.30pm on ITV1 for a 6pm kick-off and will be

broadcast until 8.20pm. Therefore, Emmerdale's usual time slot has been disrupted and no episode will air on Tuesday June 3. Instead, viewers can enjoy an hour-long episode on Wednesday

(June 4), from 7pm until 8pm, in addition to its usual hour-long Thursday slot. The schedule change comes at the height of the drama, as fans saw Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) confess to

murdering her father Anthony Fox (Nicolas Day) after a body was discovered in the lake. Viewers will have to wait until Wednesday's episode to find out Ruby's fate. On Thursday

(June 5), Emmerdale will air slightly earlier than usual, from 7pm until 8pm, to make time for the star-studded return of the British Soap Awards. Article continues below The event, hosted

by Jane McDonald at London's Hackney Empire, took place on Sunday (May 31). It featured prominent television personalities such as Sir David Jason and Larry Lamb presenting awards.

Emmerdale's Amelia Flanagan (April Windsor) took home the prize for Best Young Performer following a heart-wrenching storyline. The 16-year-old found herself homeless as she learned to

survive on her own on the streets of Leeds. It is not the first time the soap has had some disruption to its scheduling. Last week, Emmerdale issued an announcement as Wednesday's

episode was purposely unavailable to stream on ITVX. Viewers can usually watch each episode at 7am on the streaming platform, but producers made the decision to make fans wait until the

evening broadcast to avoid spoilers. In a statement on Instagram, Emmerdale's official page posted: "FYI: Emmerdale will not be available to stream tomorrow (Wed 28th) at 7am on

ITVX. So we'll see you all at 7.30pm on ITV1 instead, yeah? You bring the biscuits and we'll make the brews (we'll try to not spill any tea)." Article continues below The
